Waiver/Release of Liability
Please read carefully before signing. This is a release of liability and waiver of certain legal rights.
I, the parent/guardian of the participant(s) agree and understand that swimming is a hazardous activity. I recognize there are risks inherent in the sport of swimming. The participant’s parent/guardian hereby agrees to grant participation in swim lessons and hereby agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Youth Aquatics, Inc., its instructors, officers, directors, agents, employees and participating hotel pool locations, their parent and combined subsidiaries and affiliates, against any liability resulting from any injury or contracting of any illness, including COVID-19, that may occur to the participant while participating in swim lessons. The participant’s parent/guardian also agrees to indemnify Youth Aquatics, Inc., DoubleTree Suites by Hilton and InterContinental Hotels Group Resources, LLC for any damages incurred arising from any claims, demand, action, or cause of action by the participant.
I have noted any medical/health problems of which the staff should be aware.
I have carefully read the above liability release and sign it with full knowledge of its contents and significance.

SAFETY
- Let's all practice safety using our Squid Standard at all times! All Youth Aquatics instructor's are fully vaccinated. Our instructors will be wearing masks at all times when teaching a lesson except in an aquatic emergency or pertinent instruction that requires them to put their face in the water.
GENERAL CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULE POLICY
- In an effort to properly pay instructors for their time, you may reschedule or cancel your lesson at any time PRIOR TO 48-HOURS of the lesson start time.
- Lessons cancelled outside 48 hours will be refunded. Lessons cannot be cancelled online via the client portal within 48 hours of the lesson start time.
- Last minute sick child cancellations within 48 hours of the lesson time will result in a 50% cancellation fee.
- Lessons cancelled on behalf of Youth Aquatics will be eligible for a full refund.
- It is the client’s responsibility to cancel or reschedule their lesson in the properly allotted time by using the client portal. Please be sure to email [email protected] or text us at 617-860-2203 with any intended missed lessons or any questions/concerns.
- Youth Aquatics reserves the right to cancel lessons at any time. In the event of a cancelled lesson on behalf of Youth Aquatics, the lesson will be eligible for a refund.
VIP MEMBERSHIP CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULE POLICY
- Same day cancellations due to illness will be subject to a 50% sick child cancellation fee totaling half the cost of the reserved lesson. A doctor’s note will be required to receive the full refund.
- CLIENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR CANCELLING ALL LESSONS THROUGH OUR ONLINE PORTAL 48 HOURS PRIOR TO LESSON START TIME.
- Notice of cancellations due to unavailability should be given at least 2 days prior to the scheduled swim lesson, and in this case a make-up lesson will be offered to you. A maximum of 1 class can be rescheduled due to unavailability each month and must be rescheduled within 2 weeks of the missed lesson date. Lessons cancelled without 48 hour notice will not be eligible for a make-up lesson.
- Please let us know of any extended missed lessons (vacations, trips, etc.) the month prior to intended dates of leave.
- VIP Recurring lessons will be scheduled without an end date, meaning lessons are scheduled until you cancel them. To cancel recurring lessons you’ll need to submit a withdrawal form 10 days prior to your final lesson.
- Recurring lessons will be charged on a monthly basis. Payment information will need to be received before the start of your first lesson. Payments will automatically be deducted from your account the 1st Sunday of each month. Payments unable to be processed due to insufficient funds or incorrect payment information may be subject to termination of recurring lessons.
- VIP Members will receive a 5% discount if they choose to pay on a 2 month basis instead of monthly!
- If an instructor is unable to attend a lesson due to illness or emergency, the instructor will contact you as soon as possible via our client portal or text message. We will offer you a replacement instructor when possible, or the opportunity to reschedule the class at a time that suits you. If a reschedule is not possible, lessons cancelled on behalf of Youth Aquatics will be eligible for a refund. Youth Aquatics reserves the right to cancel lessons at any time.
- VIP Frequent cancellations without 48 hour notice (3 or more consecutive) and/or missed appointments (no-shows) will result in the termination of your VIP Membership. Your recurring lessons will be removed after the third consecutive no show/late cancellation and will not be eligible for make-ups or refunds. You will have the option to schedule individual lessons on the Youth Aquatics website. www.youthaquatics.com
MULTIPLE INSTRUCTORS
- Your child will receive private instruction from multiple Youth Aquatics instructors. Because we focus on hiring collegiate swimmers, provide specialized training, and update student reports on weekly progress, your instructor will be privy to your child’s skills and needs for each and every lesson. This policy is a critical part of our methodology, providing an environment for the swimmer to cope with change while developing a strong and social aptitude.
PARENT POLICIES
- We strongly encourage all parents and/or family members to stay clear from the pool deck to promote your children’s independence and self-confidence in the water. Parents/nannies are only permitted in the pool area if they are not a distraction to the swim lesson; otherwise, we suggest parents and nannies drop the student off with the instructor and wait in the lobby until the final 5 minutes of swim class. If an instructor feels a parent is violating our policies, they will ask them to please wait in the lobby.
FACILITY CLOSURES & CANCELLATIONS
- Snow days and unexpected cancellations will be sent by email and/or text message. Make-up lessons will be offered for these closures. If a time is not available to the participant for a make-up you will receive a credit for the lesson missed. In the event of an extended facility closure, the client is eligible for a refund for all affected lessons.
